Xbox sales are always very welcome, but there is something special about having a monster sale around a particular event; the Deals Unlocked 2022 sale is one such massive sale. Here are our top choices.
Showcase season is over for now, but the Xbox Store will be hosting the Deals Unlocked sale

Luke — Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen
Oh look, Luke's banging on about Dragon's Dogma
again. Yes I am, and now that the sequel has been confirmed
, what better time to revisit Capcom's cult action-RPG once more, especially while it's a whopping 85% off? Yes, the Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen achievements
are a slog, with estimates suggesting the completion could take up to 200 hours, so it's a good job that the game has plenty to keep you occupied. Slashing heads off the mighty hydra, scaling cyclopes to give 'em a stab in their lone peeper, layering up spells to create astonishing magical effects that still impress to this day, taking on nigh-invincible ancient dragons that all Arisen around the world must assist in defeating... it's such a rich and varied game world and one I'm keen to revisit for myself to keep excitement levels for Dragon's Dogma 2 up during the inevitable long wait until we finally get to play it. It does feel a little rough around the edges these days, but there's a good reason this action-RPG has such a devoted fanbase — despite originally releasing ten years ago now, there's still nothing quite
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
The critically acclaimed action-RPG Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, now in 1080p HD with all previous paid DLC included.
Sean — Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition
“You look like you could use a pork bun!” It’s been a hot minute since I played Sleeping Dogs on the PS3, and considering it’s just a few quid for the Definitive Edition in the Deals Unlocked sale, it would be silly not to pick it up for another playthrough on Xbox. I have fond memories of running around the neon-lit streets of an open-world Hong Kong, absolutely battering thugs with martial arts skills that usually resulted in some extremely brutal takedowns. In Sleeping Dogs, you play as Wei Shen, an undercover copper who is trying to bring down the Triads from the inside. The story, while it sounds pedestrian and simple from my incredibly brief blurb there, is bloody sublime, and I promise you it will have you gripped after just a few hours — this is largely down to the excellent voice acting and writing. In terms of gameplay, the combat, although lacking in-depth, is super satisfying and is only enhanced by the savage environmental finishers. Couple this with a progression system that constantly feels rewarding, and you’ve got a gameplay loop that will have you coming back time and time again. All of this is played out in a fantastic open-world representation of Hong Kong that feels alive, with pedestrians going about their daily business, offering you pork buns or pulling out their phones to film you when you cause a ruckus. Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition
is on sale this week for $4.49/£3.59/€4.49, which is an absolute bargain, especially considering a pint up in London the other day cost me £9.50! The look on my face, I tell you… I looked like I could have done with a pork bun.
Sleeping Dogs™ Definitive Edition

The Definitive Edition of the award winning open world action adventure, rebuilt and remastered for Xbox One.

Tom — Dying Light 2: Stay Human
As Techland bids Dying Light
a fond farewell and ends its seven years of support
with the game's Definitive Edition
, now is the perfect time to travel to Villedor and experience its sequel, Dying Light 2: Stay Human
. With the world being a place of coincidences — OK, fine. With the world being a place of fantastic marketing strategies, Dying Light 2 is on sale for the very first time, and it's worth every penny. You play as a new protagonist called Aiden, who is searching for his missing sister in one of the last remaining cities after the Harran virus has wiped out civilisation as we know it. The world has been plunged into a modern-day Dark Age, so many things are back to the very basics as resources like gasoline, electricity, and firearms have all but disappeared.
I've really enjoyed my time with the game, and I really think you will too; especially if you're a fan of its predecessor. Check out my Dying Light 2: Stay Human review for a deeper dive, or just pick up the game yourself while it's rocking a 33% discount. Techland has said that it plans to support the game for at least five years, so think of it as an investment!
Dying Light 2 Stay Human
The virus won and civilization has fallen back to the Dark Ages. The City, one of the last human settlements, is on the brink of collapse. Use your agility and combat skills to survive, and reshape the world. Your choices matter.
