How to invite friends to PowerWash Simulator
While there are two ways of inviting your friends into your PowerWash Simulator, both are a little convoluted and aren't immediately obvious.
To host a co-op game of PowerWash Simulator, you first need to load into a level. From there, open your tablet/main menu to the Career Job Details page and look for the Friends Only/Crossplay drop-down menu. Here you will need to select whether or not you want to play with people from your Xbox friends list or with people on Steam. If you're playing with friends who are on your Xbox friends list, select 'Friends Only' and toggle the co-op slider just left of the drop-down menu over to the right. You should now see a prompt about playing online — click 'Confirm,' Once that's done, navigate to the 'Invite Friend' button on the right and select it. This will bring up your Xbox friends list, where you can now send an invite.
How to invite friends to PowerWash Simulator using crossplay and Room Codes
To invite a friend who is not playing PowerWash Simulator on Xbox using crossplay, you will need to generate a Room Code and share that code with the person (or persons) you wish to play with.
First, open the tablet/main menu and navigate to the Friends Only/Crossplay drop-down menu. Select 'Crossplay' and then toggle the co-op slider next to the drop-down menu to the right. From there, find the 'Invite Friends' button on the right-hand side of the page and select it. PowerWash Simulator should now have generated a unique Room Code for you to share with your cross-platform buddies.
How to join a PowerWash Simulator multiplayer co-op session
Instead of hosting a multiplayer co-op session in PowerWash Simulator, you can simply join one. From the main menu/tablet, select either Career Mode, Specials, or Free Play (Challenge Mode does not support multiplayer). Next, you will need to navigate to the 'Join a player's co-op game' over on the right-hand side and select it. This will bring up a list of your Xbox friends who are currently playing PowerWash Simulator and have co-op turned on. If the list is blank, none of your friends are currently playing the game.
How to join a crossplay PowerWash Simulator multiplayer co-op session with a Room Code
If you've been given a PowerWash Simulator Room Code from a friend and want to join their lobby, all you have to do is navigate to the 'Join a player's co-op game' button on the main menu/tablet and then choose cross-platform play. Here you will be prompted to enter your Room Code. Once entered, hit confirm, and you'll be whisked off whatever level your friend is playing for some extreme power-washing co-op action.
Does PowerWash Simulator have online matchmaking?
Unfortunately, PowerWash Simulator does not have online matchmaking, so you won't be able to join random players. You can only play with friends who are on your Xbox friends list or via crossplay using Room Codes you've shared with another player.
