Little Orpheus gets September release date

Heidi Nicholas - August 17th 2022

The Little Orpheus team has announced a new release date for the side-scrolling adventure game, which arrives for Xbox players in September.

Little Orpheus launches for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on September 13th, as announced by developer The Chinese Room. Check out the console and PC release date trailer below:

Little Orpheus will now arrive for Xbox players in September

Little Orpheus had initially been delayed due to "recent world events" — the game features a Soviet cosmonaut, and the devs explained that they recognised "some of the game's themes and content may be upsetting to players at this time."

Little Orpheus initially launched for Apple Arcade in 2020, and sees Ivan Ivanovich on a mission to explore the Earth's core — the devs say we'll join him as he "explores lost civilisations, undersea kingdoms, prehistoric jungles and lands beyond imagination."
