Xbox Game Preview will add Yaza Games' upcoming ink-based strategy game Inkulinati to the program this winter, where it will be available to players with Xbox Game Pass and on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

Yaza Games and Daedalic Entertainment have announced that Inkulinati will be bringing its medieval manuscript-style turn-based strategy gameplay to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One this winter, via Xbox Game Preview. Players on PC will be able to access it through Steam Early Access on the game's Steam page.

Inkulinati launching on Xbox this winter

Inkulinati brings the fantastical nature of the Middle Ages to its manuscript-style pages, filled with beasts of might and magic. We step into the shoes of an Inkulinati, a wielder of magical powers that can bring ink to life on the page. The illustrations perform any action that its master commands, which in this case, means battling other creatures commanded by a rival Inkulinati.

The game will feature a wide roster of creatures in its bestiary, each offering particular strategic actions, that will help you overcome your opponent during turn-based combat. You'll also have the ability to take matters into your own hands... literally, by squashing your opponent's units with your fists or creating obstacles and obstructions.

Inkulinati will feature a full single-player campaign that tasks you with rescuing your master, as well as local head-to-head battles via an "old-school hot-seat-mode." Each map is said to offer players ways of playing aggressively or calculatingly, and it's all wrapped up in a unique artstyle, with a bit of dark humour thrown in.
