Atomic Heart drops wild trailer, still coming to Game Pass "late 2022"

Luke Albigés - August 25th 2022

Chaotic alternate history FPS Atomic Heart got an incredible new combat gameplay trailer at Gamescom today, and the team insists that the crazy action game is still on track to launch into Xbox Game Pass in its "late 2022" window.

Atomic Heart has looked like a wild ride every time we've seen it, but the new gameplay trailer that came out of Gamescom today really cranks the crazy to 11. A broad and brilliantly varied array of robotic enemies, a fascinating world to explore, all manner of over-the-top weapons and abilities, and visuals and effects that look absolutely stunning, all capped off by a killer Mick Gordon soundtrack.. it's the real deal. Check it out for yourself below!

Better yet, developer Mundfish took to Twitter to double down on the planned "late 2022" release window for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, and it'll be launching into Xbox Game Pass on day one. With the studio being based in Russia and the game clearly being so ridiculously ambitious, many were expecting Atomic Heart to be the next game to hop aboard the 2023 Delay Express, and while that could still happen, reiterating the planned 2022 launch window like this at least gives us hope that it won't and that we might actually get to sample this craziness for ourselves later this year.

What did you think of the trailer? Excited that Atomic Heart is apparently still on track to hit Xbox and join Game Pass this year? Make some noise!
