Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty looks like Team Ninja at its best in new trailer

Team Ninja's Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is coming to Xbox Game Pass in early 2023, and a new gameplay trailer shows off exactly the kinda of fast, fluid combat you'd expect to see from the team behind Ninja Gaiden and Nioh.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is an upcoming intense action game from Team Ninja, who just dropped a slick new gameplay trailer for the historical Chinese adventure. It's only short but it doesn't let up, showcasing all kinds of impressive demons and typically flashy combat abilities like a hybrid of Ninja Gaiden, Sekiro, and Nioh. Give it a watch, it's ace and has cemented Wo Long as one of our most anticipated upcoming Xbox Game Pass releases.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty gameplay trailer

"Set in the Later Han Dynasty of the Three Kingdoms, a nameless militia soldier uses the swordplay of the Chinese martial arts to battle demons in a dark fantasy world," the game's official site tells us as a little context for all that wonderful hacking and slashing. While not on Xbox, the Nioh games did something similar with their fantastic fusion of history, folklore, and fiction with a Japanese backdrop, which Wo Long trades for a Chinese setting while seemingly retaining a lot of the things that make Nioh great.

Looking forward to taking a stab at Team Ninja's next slice of intense action when Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty launches on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One — and straight into Xbox Game Pass, no less — in early 2023? Let us know!
