The Cyberpunk 2077 team recently celebrated the fact that so many players have been playing the game, and quest director Pawel Sasko commented on how he feels about seeing more Cyberpunk 2077 popularity.

Cyberpunk 2077 recently experienced a huge uptick in daily players — it continues to climb on our Gameplay Chart of popular Xbox games — and the devs thanked fans for playing the game. Quest director Pawel Sasko has also opened up about how he's feeling about seeing the increasing appreciation players have for the game.

More players are heading to Cyberpunk 2077's Night City

“It’s hard to express, when you're putting so much heart and work into something... And you know for some of us it's been six, seven, eight years sometimes, especially for those who started at the very beginning," Sasko said on Twitch (thanks, GamesRadar). "So, to have this moment, of people liking something that we did, it's really feeling a bit unreal. That finally people are appreciating it.”

Sasko also reflected on the difficulties of Cyberpunk 2077's initial launch, saying, "“After the release, I couldn't believe — after some time, I did — but at the beginning I couldn't believe, and I remember... my dear girlfriend, she was seeing me f**king completely wrecked... But it's good to be back. It's f**king good to be back. That was really so heartbreaking."

The Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Netflix series is out, while Cyberpunk 2077 itself has the upcoming Phantom Liberty expansion, which isn't coming to Xbox One.
